Ziarat White Marble: Pakistan's Answer to Carrara
From the mountains of Balochistan
Ziarat White is quarried in the mountains of Balochistan, near the juniper forests of Ziarat. The stone is a dense, fine-grained white marble with soft grey veining — visually a cousin of Italian Carrara, geologically its equal in density and polish-holding.
Ziarat White vs Carrara — the honest comparison
Side by side, Carrara carries a slightly cooler grey tone and Ziarat a warmer white. Hardness and porosity are comparable. The real difference is the journey: Carrara crosses an ocean and a customs house; Ziarat crosses Balochistan. That difference is why Ziarat White delivers ninety percent of the look at a third of the cost — and why we recommend it without hesitation for mosques, staircases, and full-house flooring.
Where Ziarat White works best
Prayer halls and mosques love it for its cool, luminous surface. Staircases love it because it cuts cleanly and takes a full bullnose. Bathrooms and floors love its low porosity. For kitchen counters we advise honed finish and prompt sealing, as with any white marble.
Buying it right
Ask to see full slabs, not samples — veining varies between lots, and a good supplier will sequence slabs from a single block for large floors. At our Harbanspura showroom and RUDA facility we stock Ziarat White as blocks, slabs, and cut-to-size, quarried and processed entirely in-house.
